Keep Salem Beautiful April 2026 Newsletter

Dear Friend,

Happy Earth Month! We have so much to share! To start, we had a great time during our March litter cleanup – it was a sunny & brisk day and our team of volunteers covered a ton of ground. We welcomed a handful of Salem Academy students, some new volunteers, and caught up with litter-busting friends who are ready to tackle some serious ground with us in 2026!

We are thrilled to announce the 5th annual Great Salem Cleanup will be taking place on Saturday May 16th. We will have TEN locations across the city all conducting their cleanups at the same time (10 am – 12 pm). A huge thanks to the captains who will be leading these volunteer groups!

Immediately following the cleanup, we invite all volunteers to East Regiment for a volunteer appreciation party (with lots of amazing giveaways & treats!)

2026 City of Salem Local Hereos

To celebrate Women’s History Month, Mayor Dominick Pangallo and the City of Salem highlighted the strength, resilience, contributions and achievements of everyday heroes in our community. Our very own, Kim Parkinson, was aknowledged for her work through the Salem Beautification Committee and Keep Salem Beautiful! Thank you to Kim and all of the incredible women in Salem who dedicate so much time and effort into helping make Salem a wonderful place to live, work and play!
